1. Carbon Buildup on Direct-Injected Engines (2.0T, 3.0T)
Audi’s TSI/TFSI turbocharged engines use direct injection, which means fuel never washes the intake valves. Over time, carbon deposits build up on the valves, causing rough idle, reduced power, and poor fuel economy. Most Audis need an intake cleaning by 60,000–80,000 miles.

2. PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) Valve Failure
The PCV system on Audi 2.0T engines is notorious for failing and causing oil leaks, rough idle, and even oil consumption. It’s a common issue on A4, A5, Q5, and TT models. The PCV diaphragm can crack, causing boost leaks and vacuum issues.

3. DSG/S Tronic Transmission Service (Neglected)

4. Timing Chain Tensioner Failure (2.0T EA888 Engine)

5. Suspension and Control Arm Bushing Wear
